Introducing Caledonia Park
I’m delighted to welcome you to Caledonia Park, the new name and fresh face of Gretna Gateway. We’ve been proud members of the South Scotland community since we opened our doors over 20 years ago, in 1999. Gretna is the first place you see when you cross the border from England, surrounded by miles of stunning landscape. Now, we open an exciting new chapter in our story, as Caledonia Park. It’s a chapter that will see us continue to bring the best brands to Scotland, while playing our role in raising the profile of the local area. This growth will take another step forward in 2022, with the construction of the brilliant new Star of Caledonia sculpture on our doorstep. So, what’s in a name?
- Caledonia is an ancient name for the area that includes modern Scotland, conjuring the beauty and romance of our home
- Caledonia Park nods to the natural splendour of the local area, and to our open-air shopping experience
- Together with the Star of Caledonia, we can make the area even more attractive to tourists and visitors – a must-see stopping point that supports the local economy
- The new name supports our position as Scotland’s Premier Designer Village, helping us attract even more exceptional brands for our customers to enjoy
